Data and strategy for more inclusive and welcoming spaces.

Accessibility and inclusion in environments are fundamental to ensuring that everyone can fully participate in social, professional, and cultural life without barriers.

This is the purpose of Wideclusive, a tool developed from a doctoral research project at Politecnico di Milano and refined over years of studies by the "Design & Health Lab."

Wideclusive assesses physical, sensory-cognitive, and social accessibility in line with the principles of Universal Design and the Design for All approach. The objective data collected can be integrated into ESG reports to highlight actions in the social component and inform clients and stakeholders.

More than just a certification, Wideclusive is a tool that supports the development of improvement strategies thanks to its performance-based approach, aiming to achieve objectives that meet the needs of a wide range of people.

Advantages of Wideclusive:

  • Collects data to exceed minimum accessibility requirements and assesses inclusion according to the Design for All approach and Universal Design principles.
  • Integrates the principles of the UNI CEI EN 172120:2021 standard - accessibility and usability of the built environment.
  • Provides improvement strategies based on objective indicators for both existing structures and new projects.
